Three teams
Tawa, Rimu, & Kauri
Each competitor with a longing
For victory
Sprints, 
Long jump
Where feet land 
with a thump
Shot put
discus
I hope I
Don't miss this
Sweat trickles past
The knees
All this took place
 a park called Massey
